HUBER HEIGHTS — A father said his 2-year-old son was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car in Huber Heights on Saturday.

The crash happened in the 6000 block of Kingsbury Drive before 1:30 p.m.
Dakota Duncan said his two-year-old son was hit while crossing the street after being let out of the car.
“I didn’t see nobody, so I told him to go ahead and run across,” Duncan said. “Not even two seconds later, here comes a car, smacks him 20 feet from where he was originally standing.”

Duncan told News Center 7 that police said there is nothing they can do.
“The cops said they don’t have a laser that pinpoints his speed, so nothing can be done,” Duncan said.
Duncan claims the driver was speeding and not paying attention.
The 2-year-old boy was rushed to Dayton Children’s Hospital, according to Duncan.
He said medics were worried about internal injuries.
The child’s current condition was not immediately available.
Huber Heights police left the scene before our crews were able to speak with them.
