An initial investigation revealed that a Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) construction vehicle with an active arrow board and construction lights was actively shutting down the right lane for construction. While it was doing that, a 2024 tractor-trailer combination hit the back of the TMA vehicle, according to OSHP.
The impact sent the TMA vehicle across the westbound lanes and into the median wall.
The driver of the TMA vehicle, a construction worker, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, Rajinder Singh, 39, of Maryland, was not injured and was cited for the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
