GREENE COUNTY — A Florida woman died after a three-vehicle crash in Greene County on Monday, according to a spokesperson with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on State Route 72 in Cedarville Township around 4:53 p.m.

A preliminary investigation found a 22-year-old woman from Davenport, Florida, was driving a Honda Civic northbound at the time of the crash.
The driver crossed left of center and hit an oncoming 2023 Freightliner, the spokesperson said.
After hitting the semi-truck, the woman also hit an oncoming Mazda CX-9.
The Honda and Mazda became disabled, and the road and the semi became disabled a short distance later, the spokesperson said.
48-year-old Maria Valles, of Davenport, Florida, was a passenger in the Honda.
Valles died on scene of the crash, the spokesperson said.
The driver of the Honda and another passenger were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Mazda, a 31-year-old woman from Washington Courthouse, was also hospitalized.
This crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol Xenia Post.
