DARKE COUNTY — A 33-year-old man is dead after a crash involving a semi-tractor-trailer in Darke County early Monday morning, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened in the 1600 block of U.S. Route 127 near Grubbs-Rex Road around 4:49 a.m.

Marcus Bingham, of New Madison, was driving a Ford Fusion southbound on U.S. 127 when he went over the center line and hit an oncoming semi head-on, the sheriff’s office said.
First responders attempted life-saving measures, but Bingham was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office didn’t say if the 61-year-old driver of the semi-truck was injured in this crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
