MONTGOMERY COUNTY — An 82-year-old woman was found dead after authorities spent hours searching for her on Friday, according to a spokesperson with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

A critical missing adult alert was issued for Joella Apsher Friday morning.
She was last seen around 9:30 a.m. near the 4700 block of Weaver Road in Jefferson Township.

Several local business agencies helped the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office search for Aspher.
Some of those included the Jefferson Township Fire Department, Farmersville Fire Department, Eye in the Sky Drone Animal Recovery, EquuSearch, Ohio LandSAR, The SAR Sheps Search and Rescue, and Box 21.
“We deeply appreciate the concern shown and ask that her family and loved ones be given privacy during this difficult time,” the spokesperson said.
