“We anticipate power to be restored by morning,” the post read.
News Center 7’s Mason Fletcher spoke to shoppers who were left on the outside looking in.
“I just needed some new pants for work, you know?” Aidan Hall, of West Carrollton, said.
This was going to be Hall’s first time at the Dayton Mall.
“This is one heck of an introduction,” he said.
Most businesses around the mall were open on Thursday and News Center 7 saw lights on inside through the door.
News Center 7 also watched as about a dozen people tried to get into the mall but were met with locked doors, like Hall.
He said he wasn’t surprised the mall was having power issues, especially after his experience in Wednesday night’s storms.
“I could barely open our apartment balcony door without like, slamming in my face,” he said.
