UPDATE: 1 seriously injured after crash at busy Montgomery County intersection

HARRISON TWP. — -UPDATE @ 11:45 P.M.-

A person was seriously injured after a crash at a busy Montgomery County intersection on Sunday night.

Deputies and medics responded just before 7 p.m. to N. Dixie Drive and Bartley Road in Harrison Township to a reported crash, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

An initial investigation showed that a black 2011 Ford Crown Victoria was traveling south on N. Dixie Drive when it hit a black 2011 Volvo XC70.

The Volvo was trying to make a left turn onto northbound N. Dixie Drive from Bartley, the sheriff’s office said.

Photos from our news crew showed the intersection surrounded by yellow caution tape.

Medics transported the driver of the Ford Crown Victoria to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
