An initial investigation showed that Rodney Sneed, 64, of Greenville, was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado south on Auld Road. The Darke County Sheriff’s Office said Sneed was also hauling a 30-foot flatbed trailer.
Sneed stopped at the intersection and waited to turn left onto New Harrison Bradford Road. When he did, deputies said he failed to yield the right of way to a Chrysler Sebring.
The Chrysler hit the front of Sneed’s truck.
The driver of the Chrysler, 27-year-old Joy Marsh, of Gettysburg, was seriously injured and had to be mechanically removed from the car.
Marsh’s two children, ages six and four, were also in the car and seriously injured in the crash.
One child was flown to Dayton Children’s Hospital. Marsh and the other child were flown to Miami Valley Hospital together.
Sneed was not hurt in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
