Upon arrival, firefighters found a barn engulfed in flames.

“With a significant fire load that included wood pallets, semi-trailers, forklifts, and other equipment, crews were met with intense heat and rapidly evolving fire,” the fire division said.

Wind conditions caused the fire to spread.

The heat from the fire caused multiple tires and forklift propane tanks to explode, according to the division.

Despite the challenges, firefighters were able to control the flames and prevent them from spreading to neighboring properties.

No one was injured in this fire.

Several fire departments responded to the scene to help, including Union Township, Deerfield Township, Hamilton Township, Turtlecreek Township, and more.

West Chester Fire Department and Deerfield Township Fire and Rescue provided coverage for the city for several hours as crews worked on the scene.

“We couldn’t do this work without the strength of these partnerships-thank you to everyone who played a role in this response,” the division said.

The cause remains under investigation.
