DAYTON — Firefighters responded to a structure fire in Dayton early Friday morning.

Around 2:34 a.m., crews were dispatched to the 700 block of Ward Street on reports of a structure fire, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Sergeant.

Assistant Dayton Fire Chief Brad French told News Center 7 that crews were able to quickly put the fire out.
No injuries were reported, and the American Red Cross provided assistance to displaced occupants.
An investigation revealed that the fire was accidental and related to an electrical issue.
