According to Farmersville Fire Chief Jeff Erisman, a report came in around 3:30 p.m. saying a car had driven into the flood waters and no one had come out at Kinsey Road and S Preble County Line Road.

Crews from multiple area departments responded to the scene to search for the car and its driver.
The car seen partially submerged at the scene was there since early Saturday morning, Erisman said, and the occupants had already been accounted for.
“We were here looking for a second car, which we have not been able to locate,” Erisman said.
First responders used boats and drones to search the area, but were not able to find a second submerged car.
“At this time, we are going to be clearing the scene,” Erisman said. “Hopefully it was a false report. Right now we can’t find anything, we’re unable to locate anything. With the current, it’s hard to say if a car did go in where it could have ended up. We’ve pretty much exhausted all of our resources.”
Erisman says flooding in this area happens once or twice a year.
