As previously reported by News Center 7, Dayton police responded around 9:20 p.m. on Friday to the 3000 block of Nicholas Road on reports of a shooting.

Montgomery County Regional Dispatch received multiple 911 calls on Friday.

A father and several neighbors called 911 for help.

“Hurry up. My daughter is shot,” the father said.

The man said that he and his five-year-old daughter were both shot but could not speak for long out of fear.

“Where were you shot at, sir?” The dispatcher asks.

“In my foot,” he answers. “They are outside. I can’t talk. I don’t know if they are still out there.”

One other caller told the dispatcher that they heard “at least 12″ gunshots and ran inside their house.

A woman said that she did not live on Nicholas, but close by. She was scared and ran.

“I just ran. I was sitting on my porch. I just ran in the house,” she said. “Close the door, close the blinds. Right by the door, I dialed my one, one.”

News Center 7’s Malik Patterson spoke to Brandon Wilson. He’s been living in that neighborhood for over a year and loves it.

“Normally quiet over here, I come out, sit at night peacefully, watch the cars come down the street like I used to be able to sit and look at the sky,” he said.

But after Friday’s shooting, Wilson and other neighbors are devastated.

“Makes people more nervous, you know, not wanting to come outside,” he said. “It hurts, like, because we as people should be, you know, more connected.”

Wilson told Patterson they are still trying to make sense of it all.

“Scary, shocked a little bit, but like other than that, I guess we’re all right. We’re holding together,” he said.

News Center 7 has contacted the Dayton Police Department to learn how the victims are doing and what led to the shooting.

We will update this story.
