The chase is connected to an aggravated robbery that happened on Monday. News Center 7 is working to learn more about this incident.

“They attempted to make a traffic stop on that vehicle for that crime,” Dayton police sergeant Alex Magill said.

The driver took off, and police chased the car out of Dayton and into Clark County.

“Dayton discontinued its involvement partway through this incident. But there were other crews and other jurisdictions that were involved as well,” Magill said.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers tracked the car with their helicopter.

The driver turned around east of Springfield and headed back toward Dayton.

After more than an hour, the car hit the back of a semi-truck on I-70 West near US-68.

The car continued, but eventually stopped not far down the interstate.

“To my knowledge, none of the occupants of the vehicles are injured,” Magill said.

Authorities arrested the three suspects; however, their identities were not immediately available.

Magill said officers found several firearms that were thrown out of the car.

“Two were ditched somewhere en route. With the help of aviation and some other visual resources, we have to look at. We were able to locate those firearms,” Magill said.

The car involved in the chase was reported stolen from Hamilton County.
