Friday morning Dayton Police responded to a panic alarm at a Shell gas station on Smithville Road and arrested three men for armed aggravated robbery, according to a police incident report obtained by News Center 7.
Less than two miles down the road from the Shell gas station, two other gas stations were also robbed at gunpoint within the last week.

A gas station on Woodman Drive was robbed just a couple of days after a gas station on Linden Avenue was.
As previously reported on News Center 7, Riverside Police responded to reports of a robbery on Woodman Drive around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Riverside Police are still looking for the two juvenile suspects they believe took an unknown amount of money from the gas station.
Riverside resident Zachary Kennedy said he lives near the gas station that was robbed on Linden Avenue a week ago.
“I know just about everyone in there. So, this kind of hit home a little bit, especially living around the corner. Every time I go in, they’re always polite. I mean, we have conversations. I bring my kids up here and they’ll give them suckers and things like that,” Kennedy said.
Dayton resident Matt Davis works in the area and said he believes economic challenges are the reason for the multiple robberies.
“People are going to do whatever they need to just to get a buck around here. A lot of people need help and don’t have a lot. So, I think that’s why they probably do it,” Davis said.
It remains unclear if the three people arrested are also suspected in the other robberies.
