The family says their neighbor’s boyfriend was angry and emptied an entire clip while pointing the gun at the 28-year-old woman.
“It truly was terrifying, I’m very worried for her,” Mikayla Masterson said.
Mikayla Masterson says she woke up to gunfire around 11 p.m. Sunday night, Mother’s Day. Her parents heard the same thing.
“I heard the whole clip being fired, that’s why I freaked,” Bobbi Masterson said.
The Mastersons say, from what they’ve seen, the neighbor’s boyfriend had a gun when she came home from dropping off her four children after a long Mother’s Day.
“He pointed at her, she closed her eyes, moved her head. Luckily none of the shots hit her,” Mikayla Masterson said.
Mikayla Masterson said the man then ran upstairs, shoved his way out the window and onto the porch roof, jumped to the ground and ran off.
“She doesn’t want her name out there, but I really would like for this man to be caught,” Mikayla Masterson said.
There are bullet holes in the victim’s screen door and two bullet holes in a pick up truck across the street.
The Mastersons say gun violence does damage to everyone in the neighborhood and they want to do their small part to help.
“No she should not have to fear for her life in her own home, especially now, she can’t have her kids over here now in case he does something and it’s very scary,’ Mikayla Masterson said.
