SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Clark County — One person is dead and two more were injured in a crash Saturday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Springfield Xenia Road and US 68 in Springfield Township just after noon.

Dylan Frederick, 17, was flown by air ambulance from the scene of the crash, but was pronounced dead at Miami Valley Hospital, OSHP says.
Troopers believe Frederick was heading southwest on Springfield Xenia Road in a BMW when he failed to yield at a left turn and was hit by a Ford F-350.
Both vehicles traveled of the left side of the road and the BMW hit the ditch, OSHP says.
According to troopers, the passenger in the BMW was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the Ford F-350 was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers, Clark County Sheriff’s deputies and Springfield Township fire crews were also on scene.
