DARKE COUNTY — A child was flown to the hospital after a crash in Darke County Wednesday afternoon, according to a Darke County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.

The crash occurred at the intersection of US 127 and Children’s Home-Bradford Road around 4:45 p.m.

At the time of the crash, a Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck was driving east on Childrens Home-Bradford Road, and a Ford F-250 pickup truck was driving north on US 127.
Photos from the scene show that the Chevrolet pickup truck overturned.
A preliminary investigation found that the Chevrolet truck, driven by an 18-year-old woman, failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and was hit by the Ford truck, according to the spokesperson.
The 18-year-old driver had a juvenile passenger in her car.
The spokesperson said CareFlight took the juvenile to Miami Valley Hospital and medics took the 18-year-old to Wayne Health Care.
It is unclear how serious their injuries are.
The driver of the Ford was treated and released by medics on scene.
This crash remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
