A black pickup truck was traveling north on Smithville when it ran a red light and collided with a white car going east on Third Street, according to Dayton Police.
The two vehicles collided and went into the parking lot of the Domino’s at the corner of the intersection.
In the parking lot, the vehicles collided with a parked car, pushing that car into the building.
The parked car ended up in the walk-in cooler/freezer of the Domino’s, according to police.
The driver of the white car, later identified as Moody, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger of the white car, a 25-year-old female, had minor injuries.
The driver of the pick-up truck, a 33-year-old male, was taken to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
No one inside the Domino’s was injured, and there was no one inside the parked vehicle.
While officers were on scene, a vehicle drove over a curb to try and get around police tape. Police stopped the driver, and they were arrested for OVI.
The crash remains under investigation. Both OVI and speed are being investigated as possible causes of the crash, according to police.
