TRENDING STORIES:

In a 911 call obtained by News Center 7 through a public records request, a title officer worker saw what happened.

“I heard the gun go pop,” a woman told 911 dispatchers. “The kid jumped out of the back seat, saying, ‘I’m shot. I’m shot.”

The caller said the child ran toward the BMV entrance. That’s when she called 911.

“He’s about 12 or 13?” the caller said.

“You know who did it?” The dispatcher asked.

“No, we were sitting here working, and he ran out of the car screaming, ‘I just got shot in my hand.’”

Patterson says that before anyone had time to get the child’s name or find out how the shooting happened, he ran back in the vehicle he was in.

“They’re down to Good Samaritan North (Miami Valley North),” the caller said. “It’s a silver Dodge! It’s a silver Dodge! Oh my God!”

Shortly after officers and Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, there were over a dozen markers on the ground. They spoke with employees and other witnesses.

News Center 7 has contacted Clayton Police to learn the person’s condition and if anyone is in custody.

We will continue to update this developing story.
