Patterson said there were over a dozen police cruisers and officers when he arrived at the scene. Several neighbors were also outside consoling each other.
Shortly after our news crew arrived, family members of someone inside the scene tape showed up. They were escorted inside and spoke to officers.
Patterson saw officers get statements from people in the area.
A 911 caller requested help from dispatchers.
“Some teens pulled up in front of my house, they let another teen out and shot him,” the caller said.
“I just heard gunshots,” a second caller told dispatchers. “I looked out my window, and they let him right on the curb.”
News Center 7 has contacted the Dayton Police Department to learn the victim’s condition and what led to the shooting.
