Fairborn officers and medics responded just after 5 p.m. to State Route 235 between I-675 and Trebein Road on reports of a crash. A police cruiser blocked off traffic from entering or leaving the road.

A Fairborn officer told News Center 7’s Malik Patterson that a person died at the scene.

Medics also transported another person to an area hospital. The officer said it is unrelated to the crash.

Patterson said that when he arrived at the crash scene, he saw a police drone in the air surveying the scene to get a better view of the crash.

Investigators also put markers down.

Patterson said police are still working to learn the cause and manner of the crash.

They are trying to determine if this was either a head-on or a T-bone crash.

The person’s name has not yet been identified.

News Center 7 has contacted the Fairborn Police Department about what led to the crash.

Patterson said this was the second deadly crash within 24 hours in Greene County.

News Center 7 previously reported that around 9 p.m. Friday, Greene County Sheriff’s deputies and Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) Troopers were dispatched to the 500 block of Brush Row Road.

OSHP said that one juvenile is dead and three others were injured.
