PIQUA — UPDATE: @11:45 P.M.
A person was found shot multiple times on a busy road in Miami County on Sunday night.

As reported on News Center 7 at 11:00, Piqua officers and medics responded around 8:46 p.m. to Farrington Road near County Road 25A on reports of a person found shot.

News Center 7’s Malik Patterson said when he arrived at the scene, there were over a dozen cruisers.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation.
Patterson said deputies focused on a car behind the crime scene tape.
They took pictures and searched for evidence inside the car.
Several deputies used their flashlights and scanned some of the high grassy areas on Farrington Road.
Miami County Deputy Chief Stephen Lord told Patterson that medics transported a person found with multiple gunshot wounds to an area hospital.
“He’s undergoing treatment. I’m not currently aware of his prognosis,” he said. “We understood that he may have been CareFlighted to Dayton for further treatment.”
