Kettering Police and medics were dispatched just before 6:50 a.m. to the 4200 block of Marshall Road on reports of a vehicle into a building.

The homeowner, Bill Cheers, told News Center 7 that he first heard “skid screeching.”

“And I got up because I figured somebody’s going to crash, and all of a sudden, sound like an explosion,” Cheers said.

A Kettering Police lieutenant confirmed to News Center 7 that the driver of the truck died at the scene.

Photos from the scene show a pickup truck sustained front-end and rear-end damage from the crash.
