DAYTON — A woman was hospitalized after a shooting in Dayton early Monday morning.

Around 5:10 a.m., crews were dispatched to the 300 block of Burkhardt Ave on reports of a shooting.

When police got to the scene, they found a 37-year-old woman who had been shot, according to Dayton Police Lieutenant Eric Sheldon.
The woman was taken to an area hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
The shooting is under investigation by the Dayton Police Department’s Violent Offender Unit.
