Head coach Zac Taylor spoke to the media on Monday afternoon and touched on the topic of Burrow’s injury, which he confirmed was a turf-toe injury.
“It looks like he’s gonna need surgery,” Taylor said. “We’re still working through all the details of that, what that timeline’s gonna look like.”
He also said he didn’t know at this time if Burrow would be placed on the injured reserve.
“I don’t want to make any determination right now. We’ll get through the week, get all the information we can, and go from there,” Taylor said.
While he said he didn’t have information on any kind of timeline, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday morning that the injury could sideline Burrow for at least three months.

As News Center 7 previously reported, Burrow left the Bengals’ game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second quarter with a left toe injury after being sacked.
Burrow was initially evaluated on the sideline medical tent, but was later seen being helped to the locker room by two trainers.
Backup quarterback Jake Browning came into the game and helped lead the Bengals to a win over the Jaguars.
Taylor told reporters that the organization has “a ton of confidence” in Browning.
“The guys will ride behind him, and we’ll get Jake’s best,” Taylor added.
