Police were called to the area of Indiana and Heaton avenues around 11:19 a.m. on reports of a shooting.
“We got a guy shot in the heart,” a 911 caller told a dispatcher.

Police on the scene confirmed to News Center 7 that a landscaper was blowing grass, and it landed on a neighbor’s car.
“It was an argument over grass clippings on a car,” the 911 caller said.
That led to an argument between the neighbor and the landscaper, which resulted in the neighbor reportedly shooting the landscaper.
The victim, who has not been identified at this time, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The suspect has been taken into custody, and officers located the weapon in his house.
As shown on News Center 7 at 5:00, Lieutenant David Matthews called the shooting “unfathomable.”
“I’d be interested to hear what the conversation was that led up to the shooting. To me, it’s silly,” Matthews said. “Guys out here just doing a job, and then he gets harassed, and ultimately shot by somebody not even involved.”
As shown on News Center 7 at 6:00, neighbors couldn’t believe this all stemmed from grass clippings on a car.
“I just can’t believe that you would shoot someone over the fact that they got blades of grass on your car,” Julian Hickman said.
