Around 11:20 a.m. Friday, police were called to the 4500 block of Derwent Drive for a stabbing.
Police identified the suspect as Jackson Fugate, and said he is “armed and dangerous.” He is not in custody.
As reported on News Center 7 at 11, Angela Wilcox said she got a phone call that sent her into a panic.
“My phone started ringing four different times, like back to back. I answered it. It was my sister telling me, she said, ’Anna, Jason’s been stabbed,’” Wilcox said.

She drove an hour and a half to get to her brother at Miami Valley Hospital.
“When we got here, they wouldn’t let none of us in,” she said. “Not only do you find out that your brother could be dying, but you’re not finding out no information either.”
Wilcox and her twin sister, Tanya Kelsey, are Jason Gau’s older sisters.
They said Jason knows Fugate and attacked Gau at his house.
“Butterfly knives, how they twist open. The boy had asked Jason ‘How do you do it?’ So Jason showed him how to do it, and not knowing what was going to happen, Jason hands him a knife,” Wilcox said.
They said Fugate stabbed their brother multiple times.
Riverside police said Fugate was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.
Gau’s sisters are holding onto the laughs they shared with Gau.
“Jason likes to tease us and taunt us. We ride Harleys together,” Wilcox said.
“He’s a big protector, and he loves. He just gives,” Kelsey said.
They said their brother touched so many people, including those who packed the hospital waiting room.
“There’s probably 40 of us up there, and some have known Jason since he was 10, 12, 14 years old,” Wilcox said.
Family said Gau is scheduled to have surgery on Saturday.
We will continue to follow this story.
