GREENE COUNTY — UPDATE: 3:45 a.m.
Four people were hospitalized after a three-car crash involving an Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) cruiser late Tuesday night.

A state trooper from the Xenia Post stopped a vehicle in the left lane of U.S. 35 east between N. Fairfield and Factory Roads at 10:24 p.m. in Beavercreek, according to an OSHP spokesperson.
Just before 10:30 p.m., the trooper was in the cruiser when it got hit by a third vehicle.
The vehicle pushed the cruiser into the car it had stopped.

Video and photos showed the cruiser sustained rear-end damage.
Medics transported four people to the hospital.
The state trooper and a person riding inside the cruiser suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the first vehicle, Ka’sha Lewis, 19, from Xenia, also had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Soner Oner, 37, the driver of the third vehicle, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with minor injuries, OSHP said.
Oner was cited for failing to maintain an assured clear distance and not wearing a seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation.
