Riverside Police later said they initially got a report of suspicious persons in the parking lot.
“A student had reported these subjects and had overheard them refer to a bomb,” Riverside Police said in a statement.
Police and a Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Police K-9 unit cleared the building and parking lot.
The threat was found to be unsubstantiated, and the lockdown was lifted before 10 a.m., according to a district spokesperson.
An investigation into where the threat came from is underway.
