The crash happened on U.S. 35 just east of the I-675 interchange around 8:30 a.m.

The crash involved three vehicles, two of which overturned after colliding, Captain Scott Molnar told News Center 7. There were only drivers in each vehicle but the crash trapped one driver and ejected another.

The driver thrown from their car, only identified as an adult woman, was the only person hurt in the crash. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, Molnar said.

An initial investigation found the crash was caused by a driver who was attempting to avoid rear-ending another car when they crashed into another car, which in turn hit the third vehicle. The at-fault driver was not identified by Molnar.
