First snow of the season arrives in Miami Valley

MIAMI VALLEY — The Miami Valley is getting its first snow flurries of the season this morning.

Storm Center 7 is TRACKING this system. We will have the latest TIMING and IMPACTS today on News Center 7.

Brief, heavy snow showers are possible as bands continue to come down from the Great Lakes, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Britley Ritz.

The main timeline for snow showers is around 6 a.m. north to 12 p.m. exiting south. Another burst of lake effect snow could impact us Monday evening as well.

Snow could accumulate around 0.5-1″ by morning, with heavier amounts expected North of I-70.

Drivers should anticipate slick spots on bridges and overpasses.
