Deputies said the crash occurred when Donielle Snow, 55, drove the wrong way on I-70 after leaving a bar.

News Center 7 learned on Friday that Snow had been at Blanco’s bar, located about 2.5 miles from the crash site. Deputies said he then drove back to I-70, just past 1 a.m., but drove up the exit ramp, going the wrong way and creating a deadly roadway.

“Engines and transmissions sitting in the lanes of travel, so this was a very big, a very long and very, just hate to use the word, but catastrophic crash,” said Jeremy Roy, MCSO Chief of Staff.

Investigators are currently gathering information about Snow’s actions before the crash. They have identified Blanco’s bar and lounge as a location Snow visited hours before the incident. He was there for a birthday party.

As shown on News Center 7 at 5:00, Mike Campbell called the bar, but they declined to comment at this time.

Roy mentioned that the bar’s owner is fully cooperating with the investigation. There is no indication that Snow planned his actions, and investigators are still waiting for blood test results to determine if he was under the influence.

“So all his blood work has been sent off to the crime lab,” Roy said. “Those usually take about six weeks to get everything back, so we have a good number on where he’s at.”

The Ohio Department of Transportation video evidence shows Snow driving the wrong way. Roy estimated he was speeding, driving between 83 to 85 miles per hour.

As previously reported, Snow, Nevin Vince, 18, and Natalie Daly, 18, died in the crash. One other driver was seriously hurt.
